All Sights

Fixed multi-pin sights and single-pin sliders from Axcel, Spot Hogg, CBE and HHA.

A fixed multi-pin sight, like CBE's Tactic or Axcel's AccuHunter, gives you two to five pins set at fixed yardages with no moving parts, so there's nothing to adjust or forget mid-hunt, at the cost of pin clutter in low light and a hard ceiling on how far your marks go. A single-pin slider, like the HHA Optimizer or a Spot Hogg dovetail sight, gives you one clean pin you move to the ranged yardage on a printed tape, with sight tape range commonly running 20 to 80 yards on housings like the HHA, at the cost of a second or two dialing the housing before the shot. Axcel's AccuTouch sliders split the difference with a click-stop system that locks to preset distances instead of a continuous slide.

Whichever style you run, the sight is only as accurate as the tape on it. A sight built off the box's stock tape is calibrated to a generic IBO speed, not your actual arrow weight and bow, and that gap grows with distance.

Print a tape matched to your real setup with the free sight tape generator, and read how to choose a bow sight before you decide between fixed and slider.
