Tolerance is the real story with Easton. The FMJ wraps a carbon core in an alloy jacket, built more for durability and deep penetration on a tough angle than for the tightest group, and it ships in weights from 9.1 to 12.0 grains per inch depending on spine. The X10 Parallel Pro sits at the opposite end: a 4mm target and long-range shaft built to a straightness tolerance of plus or minus .001 inches and a weight tolerance of half a grain, the kind of consistency that shows up at 70 and 90 yards, not 20. The Axis and 5.0 lines land in between, hunting-grade shafts with HIT insert compatibility that most bowhunters never actually need to look past.
The tradeoff with Easton's tightest tolerances is price. A mid-tier Axis shaft properly spined will outshoot a top-tier shaft that's spined wrong, every time. Get the spine right before you pay for the tolerance.
