Using the standard ATA / IBO velocity formula, a 420gr arrow at the Mathews ARC 30's 348 fps IBO should chrono around 276 fps off your bow. Real-world velocity will vary by ±5 fps depending on string condition, peep + d-loop weight, and tune state.
Common tune issues on the Mathews ARC 30
Over-spined arrow. The biggest issue with the Mathews ARC 30 is shooters going to 300 spine when 340 is correct, then seeing tail-high tears that take forever to chase. Start with manufacturer spine chart, validate with the builder.
Wrong sight radius. If you're using a slider sight, the sight radius from peep to pin housing affects every yard mark on the tape. The Sparrow sight tape generator (Pro) needs this accurate to the 1/8".
